"Hope"
Oil over Mixed Media on Stretched Canvas
30 x 40 inch — Ready to Hang
"Hope" was created in honour of endometriosis awareness — a tribute to the strength, beauty, and resilience of those navigating this invisible battle.
I chose sunflowers for their powerful symbolism: they are radiant seekers of light, standing tall and turning always toward the sun — a reminder to hold onto hope and keep rising, even through pain. The bees, vital and tireless, represent endurance, community, and the often unseen work it takes to survive and thrive.
The female figure in the painting reflects both vulnerability and fierce determination — framed in golden blooms and surrounded by buzzing life, she is not defined by her struggle but uplifted by it.
Layers of mixed media bring movement and depth to the piece, while the oil paint captures emotion and softness — a harmony of grit and grace.
This artwork is a voice for those with endometriosis, for anyone who’s ever felt unseen in their suffering, and for the warrior within us all.
