“Stillness in Motion” is a deeply personal piece from my collection, created to honour the quiet strength found in the present moment. Painted with oil over mixed media on fine art paper, this artwork captures a hummingbird in mid-flight — a symbol that has always resonated with me as a reminder to pause, breathe, and find beauty in the now.

The soft, ethereal background and vibrant lilies were inspired by a feeling of peace that arrived during a moment of reflection. I wanted to portray the contrast between movement and stillness — how even in motion, there is calm. The hummingbird, delicate yet determined, represents joy, freedom, and the ability to rise above challenges with grace and lightness.
